Our firm believes in the power of the legal system to enact lasting change on governmental and political structures and society at large. Consistent with this philosophy, we have pursued civil rights litigation against local, state, and federal departments and officials on behalf of a broad variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, and trade associations. For example, we have sued the government on behalf of wrongfully accused criminal defendants, inmates incarcerated under unconstitutional prison conditions, and corporations improperly excluded from publicly-funded development. Through impact litigation, we have been able to vindicate our clients’ protected civil rights and to obtain prospective injunctive relief protecting society for years to come.
